General Attendee Rules & Regulations

ALL attendees of the show must abide by the following rules and regulations at all times. Any violation of the show’s rules may result in your being asked to leave the event and/or hotel without refund or re-admittance to the show. In the instance of the violation of some of these rules we may be forced to call the local authorities and or parents as well.
No children under the age of 16 may attend the event or stay in guest rooms of the hotel
without a parent or legal guardian being present at all times. Free memberships for supervising
adults will NOT be issued. Almost all rooms of the show and events will require a badge to enter.
You must purchase one along with your child. Failure to read these rules does not make you exempt.

Please remember, this is a FAMILY event!
1.      No over crowding of hotel guest rooms. The hotel will not allow more than 4 people per King or Double standard size hotel room. All guests must be registered with the hotel to the rooms that they are staying in.
2.      There will be no sleeping or loitering in the halls of the hotel. If you wish to sleep you must do so in a hotel room that you are registered to.
3.      The show and hotel are not responsible for unattended items. Keep your purses, wallets, bags, etc. close at all times or locked in your room.
4.      There is a zero tolerance policy on smoking in the hotel outside of a ‘smoking’ guest room. There will be NO smoking in the event area.
5.      No alcoholic beverages of any kind may be brought into the event area of the hotel. No persons under 21 may be drinking in the hotel.
6.      The only pets that you may bring with you to this show are pet African Pygmy Hedgehogs.
7.      ALL attendees must follow and abide by the regulations of the International Hedgehog Alliance www.hedgehogclub.com *these rules and guidelines apply to pet hedgehog owners.
8.      Only healthy pet hedgehogs may attend the event. If your hedgehog is sick, injured, or under 3 months of age he or she may NOT attend the event.
9.      No physical or verbal abuse of another will be tolerated. No bullying and no fighting! No excuses!
10.      NO STEALING will be tolerated –this especially includes shoplifting in our vendor room. *Some if not all of our vendors prosecute!
11.      Nothing of an adult or overly suggestive nature may be displayed, sold, or brought into the event. This includes private parties in hotel rooms. No ‘fan art’ or manga of this nature will be tolerated. This is a con for Sonic & pet lovers to enjoy – not a Yaoi or Hentai fest!
12.      No hard profanity may be used on the event floor. This includes especially the ‘F Bomb’! You are more than welcome to argue freedom of speech – from outside the hotel! This is a PRIVATE event for paid attendees giving us legal right to not only request this but also to enforce it. People’s small kids will be there so is it really necessary to use extremely filthy language to express yourself? If your mouth gets too much negative attention you may be asked to leave the event.
13.      You may not touch any person on our staff, the show’s guests, hotel employees, show attendees, or other people’s pets without first obtaining their permission to do so.
14.      COSPLAY COSTUMES may be worn throughout the hotel and event from Thursday night until Monday morning if you wish to do so. No costumes may be worn that do not cover your body appropriately! If your costume is too revealing you may be asked to remove it and change back into your street clothes. There are in fact LAWS about indecent exposure!
15.      Hotel restrooms are not locker rooms! If you need to change clothes please do so in your hotel room. No use of colored hair products in the hotel restrooms will be tolerated.
16.      NOT LITTER! There will be garbage cans placed all over the event – please do not put bags, wrappers, or anything else on the floor! Let’s all work together to show the good people of the Southfork Hotel how great our community of fans can be!
17.      Weapons – please read our weapons policy.
18.      No sale or distribution of food or drink that was purchased outside of the hotel will be permitted by the Southfork Hotel. Affordable food can be purchased in the hotel restaurant all day long at the event and the hospitality suite will be open every day. *This includes selling or giving away coffee or ramen – some vendors may apply for an exemption for certain food items.
19.      DO NOT tape, pin, or otherwise stick any signs or papers to the walls or elevator doors of the hotel.
20.      No flash photography will be permitted during the NAHS Conformation Show, The Square Pog Show, or the Cosplay events.
21.      PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY – You must obtain permission before photographing or filming anyone at the show.
22.      No behavior of an adult or an explicit nature that is offensive or disturbing to other attendees will be permitted at the event.
23.      Please limit the volume of your voice when outside of the event area of the hotel and when on the guest room floors.
24.      NO RUNNING in the event area or on the room floors of the hotel.
25.      Attendees must obey the requests and instructions of the hotel and event staff & volunteers at all times.
26.      Membership badges must be worn and visible at all times on the event floor.
27.      Pet hedgehogs must be kept inside of secure store bought carriers when not participating in hedgehog related events. No home made carriers or boxes!
28.      All pet hedgehogs must undergo a health exam at the registration table and be registered with the show. Unhealthy animals, injured animals, animals with mites, and babies under 3 months of age may not attend the show.
