For those of you who fly, even if you’re not a frequent flyer, a delay or layover at the airport can
mean breakfast, lunch or dinner in a terminal, an “terminal food” shouldn’t be synonymous with
“hospital food.” The Pappas family has taken care of all that with the grand opening of Pappasito’s
Cantina in Terminal A, Gate 28, at the DFW International Airport.
An exclusive VIP reception at the new restuarant was a an intimate who’s who with everyone
from Mike Hiller with EscapeHatchDallas.com and Pappas’ Master Sommelier Barbara
Werley, to Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, DFW CEO Jeff Fegan, and the man
himself, Harris Pappas.
Fegan was quoted on PRNewsWire.com as saying, “DFW passengers have high expectations
for their travel experience, and with new additions such as Pappasito’s Cantina, our
Concessions team is responding to passenger desires in order to make DFW the airport of
choice for travelers.”
The level of excitement awaiting the ribbon-cutting gave the atmosphere a friendly, busy
feel and never wained through the introduction of Pappasito’s award-winning fajitas served
buffet style or the after dinner cocktail hour that preceded dinner.
“I could eat Pappasito’s fajitas for every meal of the day,” said guest Danielle Hull. “As a
matter of fact, I have eaten them for every meal,” she laughed. “But seriously, I do fly out of
DFW and this new place is a huge asset to passengers coming and going.”
